Dr. Latanya Benjamin received her Medical Doctor degree from MCP Hahnemann (Drexel) University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. She then entered a pediatric residency, followed by a dermatology residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami. Next, she completed a postdoctoral pediatric dermatology fellowship at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. She specializes in pediatric laser and skin surgery, vitiligo and other pigmentary disorders, ichthyosis and disorders of the hair and nails. Her research interests include childhood psoriasis, alopecia areata and infantile hemangiomas. She has a committed interest in teaching pediatric dermatology to medical students, pediatric and dermatology residents, and fellows. Dr. Benjamin is a full-time academic faculty member at Stanford University School of Medicine and currently has a medical and surgical practice at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford.
